How often to reach out to leads

So, you’ve got a lead. You're having a great call and they say they need 4 weeks to talk to their team and get back to you with next steps.

How do you proceed?

This is what I would recommend:

  1. Have next step booked and on the calendar with a shared calendar invite (right away)

  2. Confirm their next steps and responsibilities via email (within 24 hours)

  3. Maintain emotional proximity (newsletter on this coming soon!) by sharing value every 5-7 days.

Pause here! This is key:

If you’re out of sight, you are most likely out of mind. Stay top of mind and cement yourself as a professional/expert by sharing valuable content when there’s no “work” to discuss. Unless you won’t be meeting for another 2+ months, you should be in their inbox every 7-10 days at the least.

  1. Message them 4 days in advance to confirm agenda and agreed upon next steps

  2. Message 24 hours in advance to confirm time and meeting location
